Native to areas of Portugal and central and southern Spain, the pigs' diet of acorns and elements of the natural forests in these areas impacts the meat directly, giving it a nutty, evocative flavour. An even more distinctive feature is its bright red meat as compared to normal pork meats.

Due to its unique diet and breed the meat itself comes with a gorgeous marbling of fat that packs a flavourful punch which is perfect and a must have for any steamboat feast! Thinly sliced and packed in a tray, convenient to use and store.
